All the pinks

Baby showers are becoming increasingly popular in the uk and lately all my friends seem to be getting pregnant (must be something in the air) :p
Anyway I really wanted to make something for a work friends little girl. So i found this lovely multicolour yarn and decided on a corner to corner crochet pattern. Originally I was just going to make a blanket but me being me couldnt resist doing a little extra.
Then I found this bunny comforter pattern and couldnt resist http://thestitchinmommy.com/2013/04/bunny-lovey-free-crochet-pattern.html its a beautiful pattern and such a great idea.I now plan on making them for all my pregnant friends. (I am going to be busy) :) so worth it!

Hat and scarf

I have been on holiday in cornwall for the last week and i couldnt resist a bit if crochet :) i bought some wool and as hats are small and quick projects i started with a simple beanie pattern.
Once i finished my hat i thought id make a scraf to use the rest of my wool and as i didnt have enough i used white aswell in the hope that it would also lighten it up. Which i think it did. What do you think?

Cushions

A friend of mine asked for cushions for her birthday for her living room. She told me the colours she wanted expecting shop bought cushions.
Me being me bought cushion inners and wool and zip and made 2 cushions i made each side different designs so she could change it up.
The next year she asked for a matching blanket so i made one it took me a while and ended up being a christmas present as i needed more time but i got there

My first blanket...that ive finished

My first ever project that i made for a friend is this crochet ripple blanket. It was a birthday present and i was so proud of myself.
Its only when its being unwrapped that you get a little nervous and my first thought when she unwrapped it was 'it looks really small' but she absolutely loved it. Handmade gifts mean so much more.
This was only the start of my new found love for crochet.
